Happy New Years everyone!!!!
I woke up to 2019 feeling very grateful, so I decided to make a gratitude jar.
Wondering what that is?
I’ll say it’s a jar filled with positive thoughts, feelings, situations…etc. that have made you feel grateful at some point.
I’m starting mine today and I’ll open it if i am feeling down as the year goes by, and at the and of 2019. It is great to practice gratitude!
If you guys want to try it you can do a personal one or a family one ( it would be fun to open it and just experience together those little moments). Your body and mind will appreciate it.
It’s very easy to practice gratitude, you can write things like: I’m grateful for the person who made me laugh at the grocery store; I’m grateful for my best friend; I am grateful for the way I feel today….things like that. you write it down on a slip of paper and stick it in the jar.
We don’t always feel the same, so if one day you feel like writing 5 slips of paper do it, if you feel like writing one, do it, if you feel like opening it, open it. It’s your choice. Have fun with it!
I am grateful you are reading this, and wish health, success, and happiness for you and those around you. Have an AMAZING 2019.
Be you. Do you. For you.
Sometimes i like to just sit and observe, and one thing I have noticed is how people lose themselves trying to be cool, trying to be like “?”, pretending to “…”, just so that “they fit”, just so they feel “they belong to a certain circle”, jus so that “circle” “accepts them”, just so …wt*?
In those moments, and still right now, i ask myself : Why?. Why do they do it?; why do I even care?, but it breaks my heart to see it happening.
I believe there is nothing more powerful than being yourself. What a powerful human him who knows himself, accepts himself, love himself, and owns himself.
I would love to pass on this message though generations. You gotta do what you gotta do?;
find yourself and be that. There’s nothing more powerful, sexier, and cooler than being you, just you, and that never runs out of style.
Vegan Turmeric Face Mask / Macarilla De Curcuma
Turmeric is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant of the ginger family. It’s native to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Turmeric contains curcumim, a bioactive component with antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.
It is very known for its cosmetic use particularly by women in India. They claim it can benefit your skin as a home remedy for acne, dry skin, wrinkles, dark circles under the eyes, reduces facial hair growth, and pigmentation; so i decided to give it a try, and i liked it.
A turmeric mask is very easy to make, they are many variations of it , but I prefer this one with only 2 ingredients.
Make sure you test in a small area of your skin first because some people may experience allergic reactions.
1 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon almonds milk
Mix the ingredients in a small bowl until you have a creamy consistency.
Using a make up brush, apply the mask evenly all over your face, including under your eyes , and allow it to work for about 20 minutes. ( You might want to use gloves and put on a shirt you don’t care about in case mask drips onto it ).
Wash it off with water. ( I use warm water first and then cold water ).
Optional: To remove any stain from your skin, soak a cotton ball in coconut oil, and give it a little rub in circular motions. Then you’re good to go.
You can cover any leftover and leave it in the fridge for your next application.
Use once or twice a week depending on your needs.
2 Ingredients Homemade Lip Scrub
Say Goodbye to Chapped Lips with This super nourishing and moisturising homemade Lip Scrub. All you need is 1 tablespoon coconut oil, and 1 tablespoon sugar.
Mix ingredients in a small bowl until a grainy paste forms, then apply a small amount to your finger, spread it over lips and gently massage for about 2-3 minutes, rinse thoroughly with warm water and apply a hydrating lip moisturizing product. Store the rest in a small jar.
Specially in winter time I like to do this at least 3 times a week, it keeps my lips very soft, and healthy. Give it a try!
Homemade Sugar Scrub
Applying sugar scrub helps hydrate and keep the moisture in the skin.
I love this recipe; it helps to prevent strength marks, treat dark spots, It’s great to help with sun damage, an excellent gentle exfoliant, and It works well to slough off those dead skin cells & reveal healthy glowing skin. ( Grandma’s Secret 🤫)
I like to do it once or twice a week.
1 cup brown cane sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/4 spoon baking soda
15 drops mint, lavender or choice essential oil
Combine and stir all ingredients in a bowl.
Store in a glass container.
I usually take a shower first, then take small amounts of the scrub with a spoon and rub all over my body in circular motions for about 1 minute; let it sit for 3-4 minutes, rinse off and pat dry with a towel. This makes my skin feel heavenly.
I never do it on my face because I have sensitive skin. Just 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 1/2 of pure honey mixed in, is more gently for my face.
I would say try it in a small area before you rub it all over your body in case of allergies.
I hope it works for you as great as it does for me. Rise and shine! ☀️
